Questions & answers
Here
are some of the most frequently asked questions (FAQs) that crop
up and, hopefully, useful answers! The intention is to build
this up for the benefit of all, particularly new members or those
considering joining the BTRGS. If you have any questions then
send them to the BTRGS Captain
who will endeavour to get you an answer.
How do
I go about joining the BTRGS ?
By completing
the Membership Renewal Form in the Membership
Pack which is available from the Home Page.
How do
I get a handicap?
You
play a round with a society member or a person with a handicap and
ask them to mark a card for you. Send the card to the Handicap Secretary
(see Committee). When you have sent
3 cards like this, they will award you a handicap for society events.
For
a handicap card, do I have to play on an 18 hole course?
No, any
course will do, but the round should be played over 18 holes.
How do
I complete a scorecard?
We have
examples of two completed scorecards
to help you mark your cards.
Can ladies
join ?
Our
female colleagues are entirely welcome to join the society on an
equal basis. Specific arrangements (such as a Lady Captain)
would be determined by the number of female members.
How do
I take part in an event if I haven't already indicated my interest.
Contact
the Captain of the day who will organise the event and can answer
all of your questions. The Captain of the Day is listed on the fixtures
page.
