BTRGS Knockout matches - Format

The format for the singles (FULL handicap) and doubles (3/4 handicap) is Matchplay - see CONGU ruling. Please be familiar with the Rules.

Green fees

If a player IS NOT a member of a golf-club then he/she should pay 100% of the GF without subs from anyone else in the match.
If a player IS a member of another golf-club then
- Singles KO: The two players split GF 50/50 (so if I played Simon at Woodbridge, I will pay ½ of his greenfee)
- Doubles KO: All club members split total GF cost evenly.

Examples: (assume guest greenfee is £20)
If Stokes and I play Simon and Boz at Woodbridge (3 members and 1 “club member guest” then we all contribute £5 each towards Simon’s GF.
If Stokes and I play Simon and Madonna (2 members, 1 club member guest and one non-club member guest) then Madonna pays full GF (£20) and Simon, Stokes and I share Simons GF (i.e. £6.67 each).
If Simon and Boz play Erik and Stokes at Felixstowe (1 member and 3 guests club members) then all 4 of us split cost evenly - £15 each (which means we would probably play woodbridge to reduce cost).

Knockout matches should be played outside of core working hours (08.00 - 16.00 hrs.), unless mutually agreed otherwise.
(AGM 2010 refers).

PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR MATCHES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Upon completing each match please inform the Match Secretary of the result asap either by E-mail or Voice mail.

Completion dates for each round shall be strictly adhered to. Any match not completed by the due date shall be decided by the society committee by the toss of a coin on the due day.
