Result:    Loss for BTRGS by 4 holes.

The second match this year v POFGS was played as an away match for BTRGS, the first match being at Woodbridge GC at the end of April.

Conditions were ideal, overcast but with a warm summer breeze (rumour has it that there are only 25 days a year when there isn’t any breeze) and with the greens and fairways looking in excellent fettle, it was set fair for a competitive match. Felixstowe is a course that one needs to have played previously as there are many subtleties, especially on the greens that need pointing out and being a links course one needs to be aware of the correct line to take off the tee!

The result of a closely fought match was a win for POFGS by 4 holes with the details shown below. Some comments by BTRGS members were "how can a 22 handicapper play par golf?" and "we played against a pair whose better ball score was one over par gross!"

Nevertheless an enjoyable match and honours even match wise with BTRGS winning the home match and loosing away. Overall Hambro score +4 to BTRGS.
