Course conditions were good and the weather perfect at Brett Vale GC in the
first ever match between BTRGS and Willis Coroon. Brett Vale must be one of
the most scenic golf courses in the area.
The golf played by the team was outstanding with BTRGS winning 4 out of 6 matches
and drawing the other two. Stars of the day were Gerry Markham and Andrew Wright
both playing well below their handicaps. Andrew was 3 over par for the course.
One society member who choose to play for Willis was soundly put in his place.
Well done Simon Mahoney and Mick Day.
The evening was made complete with gammon egg & chips on the balcony afterwards.
I agreed with Dave Busby of Willis that this fixture should be repeated next
year around the same time at the same venue.
