Match Report

Ufford Park 13/6/2001

We were fortunate enough to play in ideal conditions. The match had a slightly different format to that normally played in that only 12 players competed in a Stableford pairs competition. The pairings were grouped as far as possible to provide an inter club challenge.

The overall winners were the Ufford team of Tim Lennard-Jones and Mick Day (a very one sided partnership as I did not offer any points to the score until the 12th hole). Runners-up were Kevin Harvey and Richard Gillman. The evening was completed with an enjoyable meal and the event proved to be a great success from a social point of view. Thanks goes to those people who stepped in at the last minute to ensure sufficient numbers.
