On a very pleasant late spring evening the annual match BTRGS versus St Audrys
took place at St Audrys on a course that is continually improving and is a tribute
to the hard work of both the committee and the groundsman.
The greens are always fast and it is those golfers with honed chipping and
putting skills that succeed against St Audrys.
Alas, BTRGS, despite some stories of very good golf being played by some of
the pairs, lost by five matches to one and in Hambro terms by nine holes.
Well done to Andrew Wright and his partner Phil Flavin who were the pair that
won by four holes, but thanks also to all members who played.
After the match all adjourned to the super new clubhouse, built entirely by
St Audrys members, and to food prepared by Peter King (Secretary/Manager) and
his helpers.
