BTRGS v Suffolk Coastal District Council (SCDC)

Date: 7th May 2003
Venue: Seckford Golf Club
Format: 4BBB Match Play

The teams were reduced to 8 per side as Simon from SCDC had problems getting a full side.

The weather was warm, dry and sunny with only a light breeze.  Perfect golfing weather so no excuses were possible.
All the matches were close but it turned out to be a victory for SCDC.  The course played very well and was in tiptop condition.

Everybody had a great time and the meal in the clubhouse was superb.  It was nice to have a lady in the opposing team, perhaps we should try and get a few lady members into BTRGS to play matches, some with big handicaps might prove invaluable.

It was agreed that we would have a match just after the council tax goes up which of course is every year!

I would like offer my thanks to the whole team for the sterling performance made by everybody.
