I was beginning to worry as at 4pm there were only three of the team there and the opposition thought that we could not even organise a golf match never mind a Telco! Eventually after adjusting the pairs we all got started.

The matches were played in good spirit and an excellent meal was enjoyed by all. In particular Kerry got 4 consecutive birdies! I had a good game myself (unusual) and the one par 4 birdie I got was only for a half.

I would like to thank all the team for their splendid support on the night, I picked a strong team and everybody played very well. The Ipswich Borough Council Team were on their home track (5/8 members) and have never lost a match before.

So a splendid win! We have already booked 26 July 2005 for the next match.
No doubt they will want to extract revenge for the whipping we gave them this year, we shall of course do our best to prevent that.
