Captain v Vice Captain, 30/8/2005

The Captain versus Vice Captain match was played in glorious conditions at Thorpeness later than usual due to me not rearranging the match earlier in the year!

We were lucky to play Thorpeness on a late summer evening where lots of shorts were in evidence (nice legs Jon) and everyone enjoyed the course being in its usual good conditions.

The result of the match was NOT fixed by me choosing the teams as some people believed, Jon had every opportunity to choose players or pairings that he wanted to and it was just unfortunate for him that my team all played better on the day!

I was very lucky to play with Ivan who was following on his good form from the previous day and helped me beat Jon and Tony, I was just glad Jon and I didn't play a singles match against each other as I think we would have been giving holes to each other on a regular basis……

Therefore a resounding victory for my side (sorry Jon).
