Match Report

As is customary, the BTRGS took part in the Marie Hunt memorial shield, this year's event being held at St Audreys Golf Club on Saturday the 6th August. The BTRGS team comprised of Jon Hopkins, Iain Wright, Graham Walker and Baard Grindberg. Competition format was greensomes stableford off 7/16th combined handicap, with the two pairs scores combined.

The weather on the day was very pleasant, with the team enjoying both the golf and the company of the representatives of St Clements GC with whom they played. St Audreys presented the course in very good condition and yet again the tight greens made sure that high scores were not easily obtained. Despite this, the BTRGS team came in with a healthy combined score (Baard & Iain scored 36, Jon and Graham 35, i.e. team score 71) and ended the event in second place!

The event attracted a large number of teams from the area and raised a considerable amount for local charitable causes.
