BT v Ex-BT, 25/8/2005

This years BT vs. ex-BT match was held at Woodbridge Golf Club.
The course was in excellent condition and the weather was also with us on the day. We had 6 four-balls, and as the teams came in to the clubhouse there was great excitement as to who would take home the win in this honourable match. At the end of the day, the “old boys” of the ex-BT team proved too strong and won 3.5 versus 2.5, or a total of 7 up in Hambro-scoring terms.
After the golf we all enjoyed a drink together in the clubhouse, where memories of old matches were discussed. It was even suggested that the captain should be given a sombrero after his round of 80.
Thanks go to Woodbridge Golf Club for hosting the event, and to all the players who took part in a very enjoyable evening's golf. I look forward to next year when I hope that my team will continue to chase for a win in this match.
