The weather for this, the 32nd annual match played against St.
Audrys was ideal; a light breeze, blue skies and the temperature
around 17 degrees.
Each team provided 10 players and the format was 4BBB match play
scoring.
The course, as always, was immaculate; the greens were very quick
(and tricky) and the rough after the recent wet spell of weather
was lush and a ‘tad’ long.
The result, a victory to St. Audrys by four matches to one, emphasises
the importance that one’s short game is ‘on song’.
A pleasant meal in the clubhouse followed the match and thanks
were recorded to the caterers and to Bob Clements the St. Audrys
non playing Captain.
