BT v Suffolk County Council
Date: 13th June 2007 Venue: Fynn Valley Golf Club Format: 4BBB Match play scoring
Fynn Valley was SCC’s choice of venue this year; the day was hot & sunny with little wind
Each team provided 8 players and the format was 4BBB match play scoring.
The course, as always, was immaculate; the greens were tricky as usual. The grass had really grown due to the wet weather but the rough was not as long as it had been in previous years.
The result, was a close victory to SCC by 3 holes. All the matches were very close indeed & everybody had their “If only” stories. It goes to show that concentration is really key.

We had an excellent meal of roast beef afterwards. We only had the one course as the cost of the food is quite expensive at Fynn Valley, having said that the meal was excellent.
It is up to BT to arrange the venue for 2008. Contact Chris Hall on his work email that I sent out on June 14th 2007 to the committee.
So SCC retains the cup & thus will have it engraved. Results for the day were as follows:
