BT v Willis

We played our annual match against Willis at a sunny Brett Vale – a bonus that nobody was expecting given the weather over the last few days!

The course was in excellent condition with very lush fairways, some long rough if you were off line and the usual water hazards to catch a poor shot.

Everyone of the team arrived promptly, a fantastic bonus for me as captain allowing us all to get off on time.

There were some very close matches and I particularly enjoyed the match I played as it swung back and forth before we had a bad run of holes and lost the match!

Willis have suggested putting up a trophy for this match and I will discuss this with their captain prior to next years match. Hopefully we can change our losing habit and get the first name on the new trophy!
